Jesus Tells a Story; A Linked Story Collection

A collection of linked stories. Jesus walks the city streets once again, interacting with the people He loves so dearly. Funny, heartfelt, and inspiring. A cast of characters centering around a young man in the hospital encounters Jesus as their stories intertwine. Jesus spends the day working at a food truck, taking a comedy class, planning a wedding, going to the county fair, buying a new pair of shoes and more. Everyone whose path He crosses is all the better for having known Him.

Lovely Review:

I absolutely adored Willoughby-Burle’s creative, soulful linked short story collection. The stories from “Jesus Takes a Job At the Kimchi Taco Food Truck” to “Jesus Drives a ’65 Mustang” brought real tears and out-loud laughter to my one sitting read. What I liked so much was that Jesus is so completely human and so humbly God. In the story “Jesus Takes a Comedy Class, the author writes:

“. . . He wants people to know that He understands the whole “human” thing. If He had the
notion, He might put out a director’s cut of The Bible. For instance, He had cried more than
that one time. And He’d worried more than that night in the garden. He was human after
all and it was a hard thing to be.”

Get a copy of this gem of a book and give one to a friend. It’s thoughtful, funny, human.
